  1. They have express advising for undergrad students in the Baruch cafeteria on the 1st floor of the NVC buidling. Looks very convenient.

I also thought it as helpful since I don’t have a conventional schedule. It cleareed up a lot of anticipation for registering for next semester. I thought the tiers were a lot easier to understand after Ms. Cataletto explained the chronology. As far as majors go, I’m still confused, but that’s for another day.

I thought the session was very informative. Like Jordan, I was surprised by the internship information considering the Internship Workshop mainly focused on junior year. But now that I differently I will definitely hop to it 😀 The session definitely clarified a lot for me especially since I am a part time student this year and will need to make up credits. And like Jordan said, degree works is really good for information regarding what to do next and visit the Academic Advisement office but ensure that you have spare time because the advisors are always busy with appointments (you need over 60 credits to make an appointmet 🙁 ) so the number of walk-ins is always high.

  4. Thank you for those who came ON TIME. We were supposed to have Lancia Yan come into speak with the class but we were lucky enough to get Ms. Elaine Cataletto because she is a Baruch alumnus and knows both Patti and Marlon. She was very knowledgeable and resourceful. She said that we were a very attentive group and that was great.

I, like Marlon, was under the impression that internships should start junior year when you’re in the Zicklin School of Business but it seems I was wrong. I had absolutely no intention of seeking out an internship this semester let alone this school year.

I felt that a lot of good and valid questions were posed by Patti, Eldad, Leo, and Anam. I encourage everyone to please examine your own unofficial transcripts on ESIMS and to familiarize yourself with DegreeAudit @ dgw.baruch.edu to look more closely at what courses are required for what major. I find it extremely useful when I do not have the time to go to the 5th floor advisement office.

Text or email me with any questions regarding registration.
