Club Fair – Student Life

On 09/24/09, I went to the Club Fair which was held in the gymnasium around 12:30 PM to check out the different clubs that were available to me at Baruch College. I arrived there earlier than expected, so not many of the stands had representatives but there were a lot of tables with club names on them. After everything had been set up, I walked around to different tables and talked to someone from USG who gave me a brief idea about what USG was about. I felt like the Club Fair was very useful for me because I became aware of what types of clubs Baruch offered and which ones would be of interest to me. Although I don’t think I’ll be joining any clubs until after I finish attending all my required workshops, it was nice to have an idea of what I could join later this year. I found a few clubs that I was definitely interested in as well. I also felt like this workshop was a huge improvement from Freshmen Reception because this one was held in a place where a lot of students could fit and walk around.
