Pursuing Your Career – Career Exploration.
Nov. 3, 2009
I was expecting a relatively huge group of students, but it was actually a very small group.
This workshop was a powerpoint lecture that was meant to encourage students to find a career having to do with their personal values and interests. We found out what jobs were suited towards our individual persons through our priorities, whether it was more money, helping others, job security, management, more family time, own schedule, etc. Some of the things in the workshop was common sense. If I wanted to learn something different, I probably should have chosen a different workshop under Career Exploration. We were also reminded about registering for classes, which is in a few days now. Overall, this workshop was good; there was interaction between the lecturer and the students.
I updated the post.
your blog doesnt make the workshop sound very informative, but the interaction part sounds great! can you elaborate more on that? :O
maybe you should take a personality test to find out which career fits you best. i signed up at STARR and am going to take it on tuesday :] i hope i dont end up with an accounting personality… that would be a total bummer.
