Career Planning

I went to  a career exploration on November 3rd, and I found it really helpful. I pretty much knew what I wanted to do, as long as it was something that included being creative. I like to write so my dream job would be to write for cosmo or one day write a book, or even be a writer for a tv show. The workshop discussed numerous things like having us discover what our values and interest were, and how they were the key to picking jobs that would be right for us not only in our pockets but would coincide with who we are as a person. The speaker for the workshop told us how jobs are broken up into categories and depending on the type of person we were we would find a job in a certain category, but also not to feel resticted because sometimes the categories can over lap. I felt like I actually learned something at this workshop, and I got my planner signed without having to fight a bunch of students so that was a plus.
