he’s a lot better than my teachers in my old school. terrible teachers. at least buckley writes something on the board related to math. we learned more about his kids and his car collection than about math. one time, everyone of his students failed the math b test while the students with other teachers got really high grades. im glad there is at least some math discussed in the class. most of my teachers were terrible. we had to spend another 6 hours at home teaching ourselves what our teachers failed to teach us
okay, maybe i sounded kinda harsh, but c’mon guys let’s just give that guy a break. at least he tries, maybe his way of teaching does need some improvement but at least he is a good person who doesn’t go off on people like some other professors.
i have to agree with eugene on this one. I was trying to do the webwork homework n i was having a hell of a hard time trying to get do the problem, i checked the textbook and it barely helps with some of the problems. but besides that he bores me to tears i end up sleeping more then 75% of the time. if he gave us more time to actually try the problem n help us thru it then i would understand better
i don’t think he is a horrible teacher, its just the concept of his teaching bore the hell out of some of us. i hate it when he writes out the problem and answers it himself. what was the point of writing it out in the first place if he is going give out the answer. i don’t use my cellphone in class but i still daze out after 30 minutes into the class. maybe i have add or something but i usually don’t find math boring.
guys, that is sooo not true! i think prof. buckley is a very good math teacher, and he doesn’t tell pointless stories, he’s trying to open up a little to us, which is what a teacher should do. i don’t really know what your definition of a “good” math teacher is, but i think the way he teaches is good enough for me. the only way to improve is by doing practice examples, and if you don’t understand, you can always ask. stop blaming other people for things that you are not doing! i bet if cell phone just disappeared one day, everyone could pay attention a bit more!!
nah u got it wrong eugene .. he doesn’t ONLY write problems on the board .. sometimes he stops to tell us pointless stories about starbucks or the rabbit in his crib .. but yeah, he’s a terrible teacher

even if he tries opening up, he does it mad awkwardly. and i will pay attention for like and hour and 20 min but after that i start to get lost. lol

i mean if you pay attention you can learn a little, but other than that. if you get distracted its just bad i get lost.
