today a group of us walked with sasha’s golden key honors society in a park on 97th street and riverside drive. at first i wasnt really happy that i had to wake up extra early on sunday to walk all the way on the upper west side. it was also really cold so that made me even more reluctant to participate. however the day warmed up and it ended up being a nice walk. it was also pretty encouraging to see the spirit of many people who showed up to walk. they were so exuberant and upbeat to be a part of this event. many were walking for loved ones and even made shirts to represent family members who had Alzheimer’s. it made me think of whether or not i shared the same enthusiastic attitude for anything.

It was a little more boring than I thought but it was still pleasant. When people say breakfast I’m atleast hoping for eggs, donuts, somethignwarm buuut, i get cold cresants harder than brick but good tasting muffins. Either way the walk was nice.
i thought it was a really nice event. they had the memory wall for remembering the people who died from Alzheimer’s. the walk was pretty short which allowed the elderly to participate as well. it was a good experience and i definitely didn’t regret waking up so early.
I didn’t actually know what walk was that for until I looked it up on my phone when I was waiting on the line to sign up and donate. It was really meaningful and it’s really great to see many of you outside the school. =)
Yeah, the walk was pretty nice. I wasn’t looking forward into waking up so early but I enjoyed everyone’s company. I have seen families coming together to remember loved ones and was so excited to be there. It wasn’t a long walk but people walk way too slow. But I guess they were there to take in the experience.
It was a really good day to have a walk. I liked that it was very peaceful and quiet. But i didn’t like that it was so slow. I wasn’t very excited for this walk but im glad what i did will help someone who’s affected by alzheimers.
