So da hottest mc list in the game came out and the list is totally bogus! First of all Gucci Mane should not even be mentioned on this list at all. He is one of the worst rappers out right now and I can’t believe he made it at number 6. Then 50 Cent is put on the list and hasn’t made a song in almost a year and he just recently came out with a song before the list was even made. For him to be considered on this list is and outrage!!!!! At the number one spot is Jay-z who I can’t argue against but I would rather see Drake at the top of that list. Based on the criteria of the list which is lyrics, popularity and intangibles such as making money, Drake is by far the best at these catergories. Overall the best lyricist is joell ortiz who is an absolute wordsmith. Of course this is only my opinion so if you listen to rap music I would like to hear your input on the subject. WHO IS THE HOTTEST MC IN THE GAME???
during the discussion we had in enlish class today, i felt that some people were offended by what i said about asian authors. it wasn’t my attention to offend anyone, and i did not criticize asian writers for not producing good works. my whole point was that there are many talented aisan people who have the potential of being great authors, yet due to the influence of their family (especially for chinese families) they choose to take on jobs that are more math or science related. at the same time, most of the books i read by asian writers, namely chinese, were all about their hardships coming to the U.S. Though, i appreciate reading that, i would also like to see more variety, since there aren’t a lot of nobel authors that are chinese in the U.S.
at the same time, today during political science, i wans’t showing any dislike towards any particular group. my point was that even though my family is chinese, but we did not live in a chinese neighborhood because we want to live in a place with more diversity and a better school district. i guess i used certain words wrongly that might of gave the wrong impression to some class mates. in the future, i will be more cautious of the words i use in order to avoid any confusion or misunderstanding among the class.
Well Sasha threatened me to post about that event on thursday so now i’m doing it. The club fair was definatly fun, lots of free candy, cake and stuff. It was definatly amusing, I did’nt really need to get there other than to get my book stamped but it wwas fun running into friends I don’t usually get to see because of my crap schedule.
Last week, I was able to attend Emily’s ethics workshop. It was quite intriguing to say the least. The workshop posed many questions in regards to ethics, morals & choice. What is morality? What would you do in xyz circumstances? What’s the right choice? Can you make the hard choice? Although the exercise was diverting, I believe it’d be interesting to see if people would act accordingly to the position they took. Hence the cliche “it’s easier said than done”. While some people were being quite honest, I would suspect that some were just trying to be politically correct. The reason why I’m addressing this, is because the human being was originally made to act on instinct and impulse. But hopefully, with the help of the ethics workshop, we can see past the choices we make and better prepare ourselves for the difficult decisions that have yet to come.
“We can never see past the choices we don’t understand. But we’re not here to make the choice. In fact, we’ve already made the choice; we just have to understand why we made it.”
And it is through such comprehension that we alter our future decisions.
