I think all of you have received the email from Alex. We have a good beginning from Rolar. The rest of you guys could comment on this post.
Below is the words from Alex:
For your first blog you can write about anything. Can be anything like: What it is your feeling? How your Baruch experience is going so far? What are you looking forward to? You can write about anything at all! Use this weekend to reflect on your first week!
Try to make the blog a minimum of 100 words.
Last, I also upload another post right before this one. Please read it.
Hi everybody, this is Xinxin. I never try blog before. I just went to the Archery Club on last week Saturday. It was very fun. I got to shoot some arrows. This is my first time every try archery. The bows are very modernize and the club members are very nice and kind. They taught gave great instruction and I think I am getting good at it too. If anyone of you interesting in this club, you can go on weekends. I will want to join more clubs. If anyone of you guys went to one already, please share your experience.
Enjoy Labor day. Have fun! See you all on Wednesday during the library tour.
hi, everyone. this is Bin. it’s not easy to access this blog. i can’t even login without Yu’s help. Actually i am not ready for the college life now,but it still doesn’t change the fact that i am a independent college student. The first two weeks at baruch are difficult and tired. The first day first class is the political science. professor gave out a quiz in which i couldn’t answer most questions. i think it is because i don’t care much about US politics.
Other classes i have are Phychology, Music, and English. i like taking phychology in large room with 500 people. The professors are quite funny that makes students more motivated. i haven’t decided any clubs yet. Is there some interesting chinese clubs?
Hope to have a good weekend first ! see u all after this weekend!
Hello everyone!! This is Hyomin! It took me while to figure out how to log in and post a reply because i didn’t even know that i had received username and password in previous week. First thing to say! Baruch College is awesome. I love to learn new things and meet new faces everyday. I’m satisfied with our VC building although elevators are crowded and slow, which makes me use stairs all the time. Sometimes I’m having difficulty catching up some lessons, but since i have a day off on every friday, I will try to study harder and use my time efficiently as Alex taught us.
Hope you guys goodluck in everything and have a nice weekend!! // Sorry for Alex for the lateness of this assignment!! //
Hmm…. is this the right place to post? took me a while to find this place.. Thank god i found that paper Run gave out about Blogging protocols and guidelines..
Hi people. this is Yu.. the first week was tiring, buying textbooks and things. exhausting..thanks to labor day, that gave me a nice break. this week is ok, but i have like tons of readings to do for the weekend. i hope everything goes well.
still trying to manage my time for school works.
Psychology class seems funny, the professor is nice. this course looks fun. it really helps us to get to know the college better.(alex and run are kool, stay that way). i think freshman seminar is a great idea that BC came up with, and i hope it will keep going and stay strong 😀 these two courses are the only ones i liked so far.
did i write 100 words yet?dot dot dot – -||| i hope spaces count =D
Peace out.
Hey guys, Im tired and sleep and its only 9. Haha, just trying to finish reading for tomorrow, American History! and I also have Psychology. Im actually looking forward to going to Psychology, my professor still needs to tell us a story.
Anyway, anyone else going to the Bike Event (volunteer event) that Run posted up? Well I am, and its been a while since Ive done volunteering work. It’s actually pretty fun, so I hope I will see some of you. We can just talk and hang out…well and work …at the same time.
See you guys next week!
Rolra
HiIIII, This is Elaine Yu. Nice to meet you guys that we are in the same blog. First of all, i think this class is so unique that we are alll ASIANS. =) Since we have been going to school for a week. I think school is hard for me. Those psychology homework that we have to read for 30 pages!!! Well, i have to say psychology is fun. calculus and music civiliazation and english are so boring. Also, the fro class is fun too. Run makes the class easier!! haha. Thank you Run and Alex and all of you guys.
Hello, everyone, this is Helen ^^ Glad to meet you guys ..
First of all, I love this college, students are all very nice, intellegent and hard-working.
I feel free in college, and I feel like I’m becoming more independent than in high school. And I realize that this college is full of competitions, it also encourage me to study much harder.
And I like my FRO classmates, very kind and very nice ~ ^- ^ V
Finally~ Thank to Alex and Run that offering us lots of useful informations about Baruch college and helping us to get to know each other in a short time.
I wish all of you succeed in Baruch college ^o^
Hey, this is Bingjie. I hope i didn’t come late. enen…
the first week of college is hard for me cause of these classes and reading stuff. I am so miss high school year now.. but, i felt better when i know you guys. I hate the first class on Monday, Politic Science which need to learn more about American Politicy. God, I am so bad of that. I gonna cry after the first quiz.
Hope everything is all right.
Hello everyone, this is vivian. So glad to know u guys that really helps me to lower down my nervousness toward college. As if the college life is much easier to handle than high school. There’s not that much homework and due date lasts long so that I can easily arrange my time schedule. I don’t know if it will always be like this way this semester, but I hope so a. Most of the professors are funny and creative and make the classes interesting, but still have some classes boring, like music?..Mmm..not boring, but educational..mm..that sounds better..^^
I think the most interesting thing is to join the clubs. I went them one by one with my friends. But unfortunately, we only found one club that named Golden Key i think? Cuz most of the clubs are not at the place they supposed to..we were looking for the clubs for almost 1hour and kept going up and down and really got tired a…why there’s no annoucements telling us the locations of these clubs changed?!..whatever…still have fun spending time with friends…
So the above is my last week’s experience in Baruch and hope I can get along with everything this week…God bless me…^@^
Hi everyone, this is Maggie. I’ve been in Baruch for a week now, and it has finally registered in my mind that oh my god i’m in college now. Haha. My first class ever was American Politic Science, it bored me so bad. And also scared me because I don’t know nine out of that ten question quiz professor gave out. But thank god it didn’t count, or else I would have failed my first quiz in my first class… Then after that I had music appreciation, still pretty boring since all of the materials I learned in high school. Tuesday and Thursday was much more fun, English class was in the computer lab, that already has fun written all over it. And then my favorite class comes- psychology. Even though the class was huge, but the professors were so funny and creative, the class could never be bored.
So that’s my first week!
Hi guys, this is Sora. It took me a while to get to this page, but I guess I’m getting hang of it.. sorta. The first week of Baruch has been great for me. Although I’m having hard time trying to adjust myself into this new environment and catch up with the works, so far, everything seems to be awesome.
I share classes with most of the people in my freshmen seminar but I still haven’t had the chance to have a conversation with most of you! So if you see me around, say hi!:) I loved having the extra day off today; I hope you guys all enjoyed the long weekend! See you all around~
Hi,guys. This is Alan. After spending a week in Baruch, I consider college life is much more interesting than high school’s. I like the liberary so much. It’s huge. If you know the exact number of books storing in the liberary, please tell me. Does anyone visit the 3rd, 4th and 5th floor in the liberary? What are those floors used for? Volunteering is absolutely good to both ourselves and the society. And Xu, do you know where can we gather information about intrenship? I didn’t have that much hw to do this week, but I had a lot of readings to be done by tomorrow. At some points, college can be heaven. Meanwhile, it can be hell. Wish us all have happiness in Baruch!
Hello everyone! My name is xiaoye. This is my first semester at baruch college. i graduated from francis lewis high school in queens. I came from china 3 years ago. My feeling about first week of college is much harder than high school. We have so many books to read, and lots of homework on weekend. I’m very glad to meet you guys, and i hope we all have a wonderful time during this semester!
Btw~ i found Run on “xiaonei” and added her, but i didn’t find her on facebook…
Ohoh ~~~ now i think i have 100 words!
About time… finally I am able to login to this blog. Hey, this is Ricky and I tried using all the possible usernames and passwords, but it wouldn’t work. Thanks to Run, she helped me through getting a new password. So I like to say thanks, Run… Finally!!!
So anyway, this is my second time on this blog. The first time I was on this was last night. I starred at the page for a while because it seem sophisticated. I didn’t know how this thing works until I clicked on every link there is. That took a while though!
As I reflect my first week of college, I feel it has been pretty cool. The environment looks dramatically clean as compared to in high school. The professors already have given a great deal of assignments so I find it already challenging. Look forward to join the NYC Hong Kong Club or Chinese Cultural Exchange or something. But here in this freshmen seminar class, I look forward to having a great time with you, classmates, as the semester rolls ahead.

Hi~this is Esther. Well…this is the second time i visit this blog…it’s kind of confusing on how to using it….hopefully it will be better…
reflecting my first week of college, i think it’s very long, just like i have been here for years…. a lot of homework!! T_T .. the hardest thing for me to do is waking up early in the morning! =.=” One more thing…The books are really very expensive! T_T
During the club hours, we try to find out where is the Chinese Club, (UCLA?) however, the room shown in the website is wrong, the room is empty. Later, i heard that this week is canceled~
So, Hope everything will be better next week~!
