I went to the freshmen reception this Thursday with my friends. It was disordered and crowd. There is no line for us and everyone just want to get inside the room. After we finally got inside, it wasanother chaos that we had no idea where do we supposed to go. We just received a folder and don’t know where to go for the classes or advises. So we stand on one of the line and somebody sign my planner workshop, then we left. Later, I heard that the department did not expect that much students came. I am very disappointed about this reception, because I planned to go to the library workshop this week. I learned nothing that they post on the invitation card (major and minor, etc) and missed the library workshop this week. Luckily, when I looked at the folder I received and found out something that I looked for. I think they should organize another lecture to let us learn more about the advisement department.
