Hi, this is Xinxin. I saw a lot of you attending the workshop. The main goal of this workshop is to learn more about the Center for Academic Advisement. At the same time, we can full fill our mandatory Academic Enrichment Workshop.
I selected this workshop because I want to see my college advisor. It was very crowded on the 5th floor of the VC building. A lot of students went to this workshop. There were too much people and they were squeezing to get into the center. It totally took me out of my comfort zone. I don’t think anyone would be comfortable at that time.
This workshop met my expectation because the center provided me a folder, which contains major requirements for the three colleges in Baruch. The Senior Academic Advisor, Mrs. Elaine Cataletto briefly explained the folder to the crowd. Then she started to sign our forms. The students, who didn’t get the folder can go back on Monday. I recommend it to another student because the workshop folder is very helpful. It can help students to track the courses they need to declare major. The only thing is that I didn’t get some cookies before I left. : (
I was surprised that there were more than three hundreds of students showed up. Workshop folders were ran out because the center didn’t expect that many freshmen attended this workshop this year. I wasn’t in the center for too long. I left after half hour the workshop started because they ran out of folder. I learned about the courses I needed to take to get into Zicklin School of Business and choices of minor.
