Probably 7 hours ago, I attended a workshop called “American justics for sale” in room 14-220 within the VC building. Ricky and me arrived there at 5:30, but the workshop didn’t start until 6:15. While we were waiting, there’s a kind and nice gentleman came to us and strated a chat with us. He is a proffessor from School of Public Affairs and a very good talker. I have learnt a lot from this gentleman.
The workshop’s topic is Antisemitism. Jews people are facing all kinds of antisemitism around the country. Around this days, economic crisis is one of the most popular topics. Then, some reports to the government would state, “Jews are controlling the economy, they cause this crisis.” In other cases, jews students in many universities face both physical and verbal threaten. During the workshop, the speecher gave us dozens of examples about present antisemitism in America. The speecher did an excellent job on her speech. Again, I learned a lot.
Jews people is a special group. They don’t belong to the “color group”, they neither have “country origin”. This lead to a very serious problem. Because I can’t express the speecher’s idea very well, I am not going to talk about this.
After attending this workshop, I would highly recommend it to anyone who is patient. Seriously, it’s one of my top favorite workshops.
