I went to the personal enrichment workshop called “managing relationships” in the multi-purpose room, on thursday the 8th. Me and a bunch of friends went together, we were a little late so there was no seats left. We made a lot of noises bringing out chairs and finally sat down. The workshop was pretty self explanatory when the power point was showing on the white screen. The sub topics were: family (talked about how to manage relationship with parents, because of the different school mode from high school to college), friendship (the little clot from high school, try to get out of the little circle and get to know new people in the new enviornment), creating new relationship, relationship for different context, networking (how to use LinkedIn.com, have good relationships with professors and potential future helpers), professors (develop a good relationship with professor, beyond just asking for attendance), workers (part time job or full time job, always have good relationships with co-workers), and finally romantic (common to have meaningful imtimate relationships in college development of communication. Healthy boundaries and breakups each relationship should indicate progress in rlational maturity).
The workshop was not too much help, because everything was already learned and thought of. But at least I fulfilled my workshop requirement.
