Hi, here’s Helen again. I went to Student Services Fair yesterday, on October,13th in room 1107 and it was pretty fun and really helpful. Before I went in, the people sit in the hall gave me a folder and a piece of paper to punch out.It was for the raffle. There were a lot of freshman and it was really crowded. There were about 22 service desks and I asked anything that I curious about, such as honor program, registration, study abroad , etc. They were really nice and I got pretty much information. They told me that if want to be an honor student, my GPA must be maintaining at 3.3 and complete at least one honors course. And I asked about Study abroad- if the credits that I earned from foreign country were counted as Baruch’s credit. I was interested in Exchange program and there were lots of country that I could choose from such as Japan, England, South Korea, etc. If there’s an opportunity and the expenses are not that high, I really want to go to Europe and study there for an year. It must be fun and gain me much experience. I havent know Baruch College has such many systems to help students have better and funier college life. Through the Student Services fair I knew much more about Baruch college life and also had idea that where I can go and ask for help if I have any problem. It was really wonderful time and I had really good feelings toward Baruch College.
Going overseas really is a great learning experience. And they sometimes have scholarships or financial aid to help. So make sure you ask about those!
