Reading and Conversation with Joseph O’Connor

On October 20th of 2009, I went to a workshop called Reading and Conversation with Joseph O Connor in the Newman Conference Center. It took me a while to get there because I thought the Conference Center was located in the VC building.  Joseph O Connor, an Irish novelist. After long introduction, he read few exceprts from his novels as well as the ones written by other writers. He gave advises on creating characters in a novel and mentioned some processes regarding how his novels came together. I think for people who are planning to become a writer should definitely visit this workshop. Also, when the workshop was done, no one was there to sign the freshman workshop attendance passport.
