I went to career exploration workshop on october 22nd. It hold at 12:30 p.m. in room 1107 of VC builing. I choose this workshop because I love the title of the workshop which was Internship and Goal setting. The room was pretty big that can hold about 200 students. We were all paying attention to the presenter who was the coordinater of the career development center(STARR). She gave us lots of useful information of the internship program. I learned that if I want to have an internship, then I have to be at least junior and get a high GPA, because there are lots of competitions. I must take internship course before I intern so that I can earn the proper credit for it. Every time I go to the differnet kinds of workshop, I feel myself is more and more adaping to the Baruch College and it makes me more comfortable in here. I found that Baruch is offering lots of workshops to introduce students to the way of success. This workshop encouraged and motivated me to study hard than before because I want to get into internship program too. From now on, I would practice more English so that I can reduce difficulties when I have interview or during intern. The presenter said that “Everybody in here has a GPA of 4.o now, if you work hard, you can maintain it, if you don’t, then you will lose it.” I know it’s hard to maintain a GPA of 4.o, but I’m going to try my best to not lose it poorly. I’m looking forward to go to next workshop.
