we dressed professionally for the Resunme Writing workshop. We looked cool on these dresses. At first, the provider let us to introduce ourself. Later on, he asked if we remembered at least two or three students’ names. We were kind astounded. We did not pay that much attention to other’s names. Therefore, he told us that the most important thing during the interview was “pay attention” to others. We should respect and appreciate the others. The provider told us that “resume is all about language.” We’d better use appropriate vocabulary in the resume. Therefore, we need improve our skills,too. Volunteer experiences and community services are very useful for resume.
I have learned that we have to tell the interviewer about ourself as much important as possible. We highlight the most important things about ourself in a paper, such as our skills and apply our skills to this job. Nevertheless, we have to practice our speech, too. We need to push ourself to speak more in the class. We also have to take risks and join clubs.
The STARR Career Development Center also helps ppl to look over their resumes and help them to develop their interview skills. They provides interships and workshops, too. They have the newest details about resumes. I think the STARR Career Development Center will be evry useful for me. I will definitely go and improve my skills. I will need the SCDC so much through my whole life. I will bing my resume to the center before i go to the interview.
