The database survival workshop I went is pretty helpful. They mentioned if you are doing research paper, you can find the resources at the Newman Library website: http://newman.baruch.cuny.edu/index.php when I was doing my research paper, I did not know that I can convert the PLA and APA format at the Baruch library website. First, I attend to this workshop because it was only 20 minutes long, but then I found out it helps me a lot on my research paper. You can also find the books from your project that have a lot of info on it.
However, I don’t like the location of this workshop. When my friend and I arrived the library, we have to sit in front of the desk on the floor. The space is limit. I was sitting there and holding my pose for 20 minutes. At the end, when I stand up, my muscle is almost paradise. They should give us seats. This workshop maybe more useful for sophomore, junior and senior because I did not start to do research paper as a freshman. Most people went there for a signature on the planner. When I turned around after the 10 minutes, everyone is sleepy. The librarian was trying to make the presentation more interesting but obviously it did not work. After the presentation ended, all the people rushed for a signature so do I. I attended this workshop because it is short. It is worth it because I learn a lot of information about the research paper.
