Student Life-USG

Last tuesday, November 10,2009, i went to the workshop Student Life at room VC3-165.  The workshop started at 12:30. I appreciated the host offered pizza and soda for us, because i was so hungry during that time. This workshop held in a big room, and many people came. Later on, i found out some people go away after ate pizza…i thought they were come for those pizza! but i still stay there. The host of this workshop is the officer of USG club- Undergraduate Student Government.  The president of USG began to introduce something to us on the screen. I learned that USG serve to represent the common interest and voice of the student body at Baruch College. They showed us their website on the computer, and told us what events they have. I knew they have different event everyweek, such as game, meeting, party, etc. I think there’s a lot of fun in this club. The speaker told us that how important to attend the clubs, and we talked about the experiences when we attended any clubs. someone mentioned that they have bad experiences when they first time came to some clubs. After the president of USG speak, the members of USG began to talk about how to involved them. They told us how this club bulit up, and what they are going to do, what ‘s their purpose for this club. They took about 1 hour to talked about USG and student life. after that, anyone can ask questions, and they answered clearly with patience. It also took a hour on the questions discuss. At the end of workshop, they gave us the sheet that we supposed to write how do we think about USG, and do we intereted in this? do we want join them? I think this workshop let me know a lot of things about student life at Baruch College! I learned a lot from it! 🙂
