This Tuesday I attended the workshop of global and community awareness. It mainly disscussed about the experience of Sonia Sotomayor who is nominated by President Obama to be the Supreme Court Judge and what we can learn from her. Sonia Sotomayor was born in New York City and grew up in the South Bronx where is one of the poorest areas of the city. She earned highest honors in history from Princeton University. Then she attended law school at Yale University. She became a federal judge in New York in nineteen ninety-two. Now she is going to be the first Hispanic judge on the nation’s highest court. Her story tells us the honor belongs to the people who pays the effort on his/her dream. We hope to see she can bring a new change to America.
