I went to the workshop Career Exploration on this wednesday at 10:45-12:00. I received the email which said we have to dressed business attire to get in this workshop. so i took time to buy those bussiness attire clothes with my classmates. But on that day, we are the only ones dreessed up……although the clothes let me felt uncomfortable, we all had fun and took pictures together.
There was an instructor and three assistances in the workshop. When we into the workshop, the assistance let us put our Baruch ID in to the computer, and then give us a useful handout. Then, the instructor let us to introduced ourself. we had to say our name, intend major, and work experience. After everyone introduced, the instructor asked us do we remember other’s informations. He told us it is important to remember the details and we have to pay attention when someone else presentation. Later on, he showed us how to write a good resume on the power point, and how to add some powerful verb in the resume. I learned that the over all/ or major GPA (if 3.0 above) is important to us to find a job in the future. I also learned we have to know some computer skills by Hardware, Software…etc. Any languages other than English which we speak should be put in resume also, and if fluent, we have to put in fluent in…
This workshop is really helpful if you want know how to write a good resume. I recommend this workshop to everyone! 🙂
