Making the Reception?

Being one of the first ones at the freshman reception I had taken a seat in a small room while waiting for them to begin. As I waited I thought to myself that this room is too small to fit all the freshman that are sure to come to the workshop. Within minutes I saw how my thought had become a reality; the room was packed with freshman, most of them just wanting to get a signature to show to there FRO teacher as proof of attending a workshop. However, I just waited for the crowd to go down as I sat on a chair that I was able to grab before the chaos began. Still sitting there with good intentions that after the crowd is gone I would listen to what was meant to be said to us during this workshop when somebody had said that we need to leave (or something like that) as there are to many people in the room. Finally, I got up, giving up a chance to learn more about the college, got a signature as quickly as possible and made my way through the crowd to get to the door. Now I’m beginning to wonder what was supposed to happen during the workshop if there wasn’t so many freshman and will this happen to the other workshop that we attend this semester?

Okay so will they have another Freshman Reception since i didn’t learn anything during the first? How are we supposed to find out about other workshops?

Well, during this workshop you were supposed to learn more about the academic requiremnts, and I could assure you that there will not be as many students in any workshops throughout the semester because by now, they understand that they have other options
