Welcome to Section BKM2B! :D

Hello students from the class of 2013! My name is Salman Ashraf (you can just call me Salman), I will be co-teaching your Freshman Seminar session with Ms. Krista DeJoseph this Fall!

I hope that you are all excited to begin your journey in college, and please remember that I will be here to assist you with any questions (whether they are academic, social, or personal) not only this semester but for as long as you remain in this college, at least until I graduate 😉 ), at which point I hope you will all be comfortable answering other students’ questions! As a fellow Baruch student, I would like to invite you to treat me not as a higher authority, but as an equal. I hope to learn more about each and every one of you this semester, and hopefully leave you all with important information that you will recall all throughout your college journey.

I understand that you all probably have numerous questions, concerns, and interests about Baruch College–rest assured, everything essential will be covered in your Freshman Seminar course. Remember, I will always be available to speak with you about any matter, both physically and online. You can E-Mail me at [email protected] and I will also include additional contact information when we meet for our sessions.

Last but not least, I am looking forward to reading your comments regularly on this blog (you can comment on any blog post, feel free to discuss your thoughts, go ahead and comment on this one if you wish!). Without your participation, this blog would just turn into a dry desert with my sad, sad posts (and we wouldn’t want that, would we? Poor Salman :( ). So yes! Please comment and voice your thoughts!!

I look forward to meeting you all at convocation and Freshman Seminar this Fall!

~~ Salman!
