I hear many students are transferring or want to transfer out. Is this because of bad professors? hards classes? or maybe the commute? I have to agree with the commute. It is a tiring to wake up early in the morning and walk all the way to the bus stop/subway and then transfer….and maybe transfer again…it is quite annoying. Also, it is very crowded and busy in the morning due to rush hour. This is the main reason why most students are late to class. I’m glad I chose afternoon classes for next semester. The late problem can be solved if you wake up earlier so you can take your time and wait for the next train. Then again…you will have to wake up extra early.
I find when the professor is understanding it’s usually a lot better and personally motivates me to get there on time so the effort is palpable. When become exasperated about punctuality I’m discouraged and don’t want to show up at all if I know I’ll be late. The commute may be hard, but it’s manageable when deemed worth it.
