College So Far

Alright, so I’m more happy than I thought I’d be at Baruch. Initally I thought I wasn’t going to make any friends because of the whole commuter school thing, but I’m happy to say I was wrong. Baruch really tries to facilitate a connection between people and I think that’s really important. I also joined some clubs to add to the social expernice.  I went to one Enviormental Club meeting and it was a little bizarre. But those people are really into getting stuff done, it’s cool. And I’ve also been going to the Photography Club, which is a little more for me. The people are really nice and they’re all really into going out together and doing things and taking pictures. It’s cool.

Academically things are going really well. I’m doing good in all my classes, which obviously makes me happy, and the workload is really nothing compared to what I was expecting. But I shouldn’t speak too soon I guess. I’m really disliking communications because the whole speeching giving things scares the life out of me. And since our grade depends so much on giving a good speech, I might just be screwed. We’ll see. Generally school is going pretty well. I’ve been thinking about transferring, but for now I think I’ll stay put.

Public speaking is the #1 fear in America. It’s not just you, it’s me too. But somehow I ended up with a B+. Just be confident !
