Last Tuesday I went to a workshop about mindfulness. It was kind of crowded there and the students didn’t really pay much attention to the people talking. We were given raisins and told to slowly describe them while touching and later eating them. I did the same thing in Psychology class once so it wasn’t a new experience. They also went on to talk about taking some time to close your eyes and relax or meditate, then spent about ten minutes doing so. The kids there didn’t actually follow because they couldn’t hear anything because the speakers were low and just talked amongst themselves. Luckily, I’ve already heard this in Psychology class as well so I knew what to do. Around the end we learnt about Dear Man and I guess the was pretty helpful.
