I entered a miniature, semi-lit, auditorium; it was infested with freshmen who were without doubt there for the same mission as I. As the cast commenced the audience was informed it was simply a reading and not an “actual” play. I expected a half-hearted performance and a synthetic applause. I was wrong. The emotion the artists bestowed left me pleasantly astonished. I’ve seen numerous performances and the one I witnessed at Baruch was by no means inferior in juxtaposition. Overall, the Arts at Baruch left me satisfied.
