Volunteer Work

I found N.Y cares day to be a rather exciting experience. I entered the school building with a rather pessimistic attitude — the thought of waking up at seven did not appeal to me. As the positive environment surrounded me however, I couldn’t help but feel uplift in my spirits. I’ve never painted before and I can’t say I enjoyed that part in particular but it was just the whole platter that was so appealing. I can’t say it unleashed a soulful side of me that wants to venture out and volunteer at every opportunity but it definitely taught me to be a little more open-minded with new things.  All in all, I’m glad i chose to participate in this “workshop.”
