Study Abroad Fair 9/17/09

The study abroad fair is a place where students are able to get informaion on countries where they would like to study abroad in.  Representatives cames from many colleges and students are able to ask any questions and learn where in the world they should go to get the most out of their intended major and experience in a country at the same time.

I chose this workshop because I wanted to be able to travel to a country such as Peru, Greece, Australia, or Rome, earn school credit while I study abroad there and also enjoy the city as well.  I had to be outgoing and ask many questions like “what sets you apart from the other colleges that also have a study abroad program in Peru?”  and the representatives were always able to answer every question I had which was very good.

This definately met my expectations because I learned about the differnet possible countries I could go to, like Athrns, Greece with Queens College.  I would go to Greece and earn 3 credits for European Languages & Literature, i would stay for almost a moth and it would be about $3,530.  ALthough I would not be able to go this year, because I would need to wait until at least my sophomore year, which was a new thing i also learned while i was at this fair.  Although I can’t go this year I did learn information about where I would like to go next year or in the coming years!
