This workshop- took place on 10/06/09 at 1 p.m. at the Sydney Mishkin gallery- was actually very interesting and fun! I enjoyed it very much because I like art and since I’m taking Art History Class it was easier for me to identify styles and answer questions director of the gallery was asking in order to engage us. The picture that shocked me the most was theĀ 4 Nudes in the City by Lucien Clerguewhich which at first glance looked like a desert – photographer’s manipulation of what viewer thinks he/she is seeing intrigued me. It didn’t take me out of my comfort zone because I don’t have trouble asking/answering questions while tour guide did a great job in pointing out certain characteristics of the pictures. I would suggest it to everyone because in addition to being entertaining it is also very brief.
