Annual Student Services Fair

Today I decided to attend a workshop because its sort of required. At first I thought, “Wow this is going to suck a lot. I’d rather go home and sleep.” However, after I got my little information folder/handout and walked into the room, I realized that I in fact had a LOT of questions which I had never asked and just put them on hold. Luckily there were a bunch of helpful booths set up such as the Registrar one. I had received a mail from Baruch some time ago about signing up for next term’s classes yadda yadda yadda, I think I threw that out . While I was standing in line to get my card hold punched, I realized that I didn’t know Majors and Minors worked. I had a brief chat with the person and learned a few things here and there about getting into the Zicklin school. There were a lot of other booths such as Athletics, but I’m afraid I no longer swim as well as I used to so I just got my card punched and listened to his ramblings for a while. There was this one booth, I totally forgot what it was called but it was for child day care or something like that and the lady at that booth was talking to me about day care services and looked up and realized I’m pretty young to have kids so she just stopped talking and hole punched my card.

I have to say this was a very unique experience attending this workshop. I learned about registering for classes, walked around the room a lot because it was so packed, and totally did not win the raffle. So now that is 1 down and 5 to go. Bummer.
