I went to the Academic Enrichment Workshop: Database survival at 1:30 pm on 10/115/09 on the second floor of the Newman Library.
This workshop was to help give us a better understanding of how to use the resources available in the Newman Library website. The reason why i chose this workshop was because it helped fill my Academy Enrichment requirement and that it was a quick one. I do not feel that it took me out of my comfort zone, because all we had to to was sit and listen as the speaker just kept on going. I do, however, believe that this workshop helped give me a better understanding of how to use the resources available here at Baruch, and i would recommend this to another student. I learned to correctly look up information with the search bar – quotations, “and” and “or”, and the use of parentheses
