Internships

This workshop I went to was on 10/22/2009 in the same room as the study abroad fair if you went. This event was two hours, but very informative. The speaker was well aroused, and thankfully, somewhat interesting. This was great to learn about because she really emphasized how to get, work around, and use internships for the future. It’s not exactly something we should take on as  freshman but later on in our College career we should consider it because when we go out into the work force employers will see we have experience. She talked about the workshops we needed to attend in order to get our résumé reviewed  or to have a mock trial interview. Also, she noted that one of the students there helping got a number of internships through STARR and CDC. These tools really appealed to me because I have a full written résumé that should be reviewed. The workshops are to help explain what we need to do and write. So, really its perfect for getting ahead when applying for job. All you really have to do is participate a little and fill out  a review for the workshop. Overall, think this will be very useful. Even though it was long, it had a load of inportant information that I wanted to stay for so I would recommend it.
