Internship Possibilities

Goal of the workshop was to educate students and explain to us how internships work, the different types of internships, what we need to do in order to get a good internship, etc.
I chose this workshop because I thought it would be interesting. This workshop really did not take me out of my comfort zone at all. Basically the speaker spoke to the room of freshman all about internships. She did not force you to do anything basically all you had to do was sit there and listen. If you wanted you could participate and answer questions, but she did not make it a requirement.
This workshop failed to meet my expectations because I was not taught anything new. I have already been interning for months, and I had a very good undertsanding of what internships are all about. However, I would recommend this to a student that is unaware.
I really don’t mean to be pessimistic, but I really did not learn anything from this workshop. In fact it actually was counter-productive because I had to miss 2 hours of interning to attend the workshop!
