I met with an advisor (actually the same on that give us the workshop last friday) and it was a huge help. He outlined for me all the classes that I took this semester, and how the courses that I took in HS translate into college credit. Then he gave me a sheet and clearly highlighted all the classes that he recommended I take this spring.
This workshop exceeded my expectations. I was lost and did not know which classes I should take this spring. Meeting with an advisor clarified things and really set me in the right direction. I figured it was worth the time and the wait because in the long run it was very very useful.
The advisor was extremely helpful and in our meeting, in a very short amount of time he was able to answer all my questions and clarify any confusion.
I would definitely recommend an academic advisement session to anyone who is confused or does not know what classes to take. The advisor will be able to give you a professional insight as to what you should do, and their perspective will most probably be the most useful.
