Internship Career Development

Well I went to a workshop last Tuesday, November 10th, at room 3-215 for career development. Basically the workshop just described the different types of internships there are and how we can find them using the STARR career development facilities we have in Baruch. The speaker, Theresa Conway, was very descriptive in describing the connections Baruch has to many top business companies; including the Big Four for accounting. Actually I selected this particular workshop because I needed a better job and I knew I wouldn’t be able to get a career in the business industry without a degree therefore, the next best thing was an internship. I actually got a lot out of the workshop. I personally want to major in marketing; particularily in the media, and the speaker spoke of the T. Howard Foundation which specialized in that very area. I think this was a very helpful workshop and I would recommend everyone the check it out.
