Thursday I attended my first Freshman Seminar Enrichment Workshop. It was the freshman reception and fell in the the acedemic enrichment category. The reception was insanley crowded at first; in the past years, Baruch never had so many students show up. It jumped from 200 students to about 2,000 as they said. That was just amazing, and quite hilarious. I was brought to laughter when I saw one of the ladies in charge out of breath and as she said, being chased around by secuirty. What was unfortunate about the event was the fact that they didn’t have 2,000 cookies and refreshments, as the flyer intended. Still, the event was informational. We were explained what we were required to do in order to declare majors in one of the 3 Baruch schools. We were also informed of Degree works, and the basisis of core curiculum.
