In October I attended a very important workshop called Impression Management from 12:50 to 2:20 in room 3215. In this workshop I have learned how to correctly present myself to give off a great impression of confidence, intelligence, and ability. I learned that first impressions are very important to your future boss and it is in your best effort to make the impression as best as possible. You have to be aware that your future boss is a very important man with a lot of things in mind, so it is your duty to really capture his recognition of you.
Throughout the lecture, I was becoming more and more impressed. I learned that personal habits such as slouching and not enough eye contact can give of a negative impression to youe future boss. You want to greatly enhance your chance of being his best candidate for the job, so you should not try to give off any negative feedbacks. In the end, I benefited greatly from this workshop. I feel that I should definitely recomment this workshop to other peers so that they can also learn valuable lessons about impression management.
