GYM [12:30-2:10]
The Club Fair gave the incoming Freshmen the opportunity to become acquainted with the various clubs Baruch has to offer. It also was a chance to be part of the non-academic aspect of college. Once again the gymnasium was crowded. Kids flooded to the fair either to fulfill FRO requirements or to be introduced to Baruch’s culture. This workshop gave me the opportunity to learn about all the clubs here at Baruch. I even joined a couple. In highschool, clubs didn’t interest me as much. But, at Baruch I’m trying to achieve the entire college experience.
Since it was crowded, I tried to get in and get out very quickly. I stayed for an hour waiting for some entertainment, however, that did not happen. I was disappointed that I didn’t get to see any dances. I could tell that the dancers were also getting annoyed that the music system was being difficult. Regardless of that downfall, I signed up for the Caribbean Club and the Ticker Newspaper faculty. Hopefully during the next few weeks I will learn more about them!
