Information about Academic Advisement session

Dear Freshmen,

Your first semester in college is moving forward – Congratulations!  We hope you have enjoyed the adventures of meeting new people, studying new topics, listening to and expressing new ideas.  You must now begin looking forward and planning for your second semester at Baruch College.

For your first semester, you received a block course program.  You are now responsible for selecting your own courses for your second semester at the college.

Remember L.U.C.Y. –Linking Undergraduate Curriculum to You?   You reviewed the L.U.C.Y. session as you prepared for orientation.  We are asking that you review L.U.C.Y. again to prepare for your Spring 2010 registration.  With the help of L.U.C.Y., prepare your own registration schedule (course selections) for the Spring 2010 semester.  An academic advisor will visit your FRO class to review the curriculum, your course selections, and answer any academic questions you may have.

Here are step-by-step instructions on how to prepare for your advisement session.  It is important that you complete the assignment and come prepared for your FRO advisement session.

Please follow these three easy steps:

Step One:  Using your home or campus computer log on to http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/advisementsession/ and review L.U.C.Y.’s on-line advisement session.

Step Two:  Complete the registration schedule (course selections) on the back of the letter sent to your email.

Step Three: Bring your completed registration schedule (course selections) on the back of the letter, a pen and a highlighter to your in-class advisement session.
