Everything in college is new to me. The size of the classrooms, teachers, and students are all aspects of college that strike out to me. There may be a class where there are gatherings of more than one hundred students and at the same time, there may be a class with as little as twenty students. The teachers are very formally dressed and their attitudes toward us are very surprising. It’s surprising, because they treat us in a way that we have never been treated like in our prior schoolings. The teachers are very polite and they address us with respect. We (the students) are no longer treated as childrens, and the adults (the teachers) no longer care about our needs. This in some terms can be an advantage and disadvantage. What so ever, the students struck out to me, too. These students are always in such a rush that if I ask them a question while they are rushing though the hallways, they might snap at me. I am trying hard to adapt to college life and I hope that one day I can become accustomed to it. Don’t get me wrong, I think college is awesome!
