The Baruch Student Employment Fair was held from 1:30pm to 2:30pm, at the school Auxiliary Gym, directly after the library tour. Did I mention that we have a GREAT library? I guess I did. So anyways, it was a great opportunity for all those, like me, that are seeking part-time job opportunities a chance to acquire one right here, at Baruch College. Faculties lined their booth up in 2 parallel lines, waited patiently for the eager job seekers. The faculty members then meticulously answered the questions of these potential job takers and also provided them with the necessary documents and information.
I signed up for 2 of them. One for Undergraduate Admission and another for Student Academic Consulting Center (SACC). Reason being: When I first got to the States a month ago, I came to Baruch’s Undergraduate Admission Center for advice and Mr M (I shall be discreet with his identity, since this is still the world wide web afterall), in particular, was extremely friendly and helpful towards me and therefore I figured, if I could be of help to someone who’s like me, in the future, why not?! I signed up with SACC, in hope for the reception desk job. Oh well, I might sign up for SACC tutoring next year if I am absolutely certain that I have the ability to help others academically. So that pretty much concludes my day.
*Fingers crossed.
I think the job fair was helpful for many student, but not for me…I think is rely hard to work and study at the same time. anyway one of my colleges got a job with CBTC and he is doing fine …so far…
