Study Abroad Fair

Every since I was in High School, I always wanted to go to Spain to study abroad. Unfortunately, I never was financially stable to invest in a trip to Spain. The plain ticket alone is like half of what we pay for tuition…well maybe not that much, but you get what I mean. I am really looking to try to get some support financially to study abroad; and going to the fair was definately a good idea. One the “Financial Aid Gurus.” broke it down for me really nicely. He left my mind open to get scholarships, grants, and loans (not really interested in loans). I even found out about an organization in Costa Rica that offer medical classes. That was awesome.

Well, are you familiar with the organization AIESEC( pronounced like Isaac)? Attend one of their club meetings. They are one of the biggest organizations in the school and they handle job related opportunities outside the country. Baruch, as a college, only handle STUDY Abroad, but AIESEC as a well established- separate entity in the college is a great approach.

It would be cool to go to away to study, but what does one do about money once you get there. For example, it would be awesome to go study in London but without a job to support yourself theres not much fun you can have, does Baruch or the sister college overseas supply you with jobs or is it your responsibility to go out and find out for yourself?
