On September, 2009, my Freshman Seminar class had a library tour. In this library tour, I learned so many new things, such as the collections of magazines, journals, and reference books, the place where computers were put, and the circulation desk for borrowing and returning materials. The Newman Library, as locates on the second floor, has a huge collection of reference books that arrange from A to Z. Besides the collection of reference books on the second floor, there are also so many magazines and journals on the third floor to let students and professors to read. In addition to that, if students have difficulties on doing their homework or having problems for the exams, they can go to ask the reference desk on the second floor. Furthermore, the second floor has a Circulation Reserve, which allows students to borrow their books or study tools, for example: CDs and clickers. The most interesting thing in this library, I think, is that students can borrow laptops on the third floor of Newman library. And also I like the fourth floor, where is so tranquil and comfortable for me to study. Overall this library tour has provided me with incredibly good learning place and experience
