On November 12 at 12:30 p.m., I attended a personal enrichment workshop called conflict resolution. During the workshop, we gathered in a small room and had a class discussion regarding conflicts and ways to solve these conflicts. Students would volunteer to share their personal stories on how they dealt with conflicts. One of the main conflicts discussed during this workshop was school issues such as elevators and office problems. Students have trouble using the elevators especially when these elevators are too crowded. We discussed ways to solve this issue by maybe letting the escalators work or by protesting to the staff members at Baruch College. Through this experience, I learned many important techniques in solving conflicts. Thinking of the possibilities in solving this conflict by talking to someone about this issue can be a solution. I would recommend this workshop to other students because it was very helpful in dealing with conflicts that I might encounter within my college years.
