Yesterday I went to a lecture series that was about Rob Smith’s book about mexican immigrants and how they grew up without their citizenship. He basically observed these students from they were young until they got older. He predicted that thesestudents would never make it but a majority of them did and were making about 360k a year. This lecture was very interesting because he had watch this kids grow and although society didnt expect alot from them, they pushed themselves to be better and changed that perception of them that everyone had.
