The workshop has guest speakers who have done an ad hoc major, where you create and combine majors. The workshop talked about the requirements which include signatures, an essay, amount of credits, and courses. I think it is a very helpful workshop if for the people who are considering creating their own major. I think what I got out of the workshop is the experience of the guest speakers and what their idea of what is expected of you when you are applying for a job. I think the thing that I remember most from this workshop is that if people are going to create their own major, they should know how to sell it.
Side Note: The administrator for the workshop told everyone to leave if they were trying to get signatures for the workshop because she wasn’t going to sign them. Luckily she just said that to scare away the people who weren’t interested in the workshop and signed them in the end.
