Stress and Anxiety Relief

I attended the stress and anxiety relief workshop last Tuesday, on the 3rd. The workshop was designed to show ways to relieve stress. This is especially important in college, where large portions of our time need to be spent doing classwork and studying. The meditation part wasn’t very effective. Originally the workshop was supposed to be in a small room but was relocated to a larger room. As a result, the speakers that the meditation guide was played through weren’t loud enough and I could not make out what the track was saying most of the time. Still, it was relaxing to not have to do anything for a few minutes. I wasn’t exactly sure what they meant when they described negative feelings such as feeling that you won’t be able to pass a test are only passing feelings. The portion where they spoke about bargaining with your parents seemed to be pretty common sense. Overall the workshop kept me interested throughout the hour.
