Nature of Landscape/Nature of Photography Workshop

On Oct. 13 I went to the Nature of Landscape/Nature of Photography workshop. The photographs in the gallery consisted of different views of various landscapes. The photographs were taken in a way to show the photographers view of nature. It was interesting to me because the photographers took the photographs from different views and angles. They also developed the photographs differently making every photograph in the art gallery different from another photographers photos. Two of my favorite photographs were by Marilyn Bridges in Peru, Machu Picchu Among the Peaks of the Andes and Overview Nazca. I liked these two photos a lot because firstly I’m half Peruvian and second, the way that the photographer captures the view is breathtaking. Bridges took these pictures from her plane giving it a bird’s eye view. The different lights and shadows that Bridges was able to capture  in the photographs makes the viewer feel as if they were right there with her when she was taking the picture.
