Hair on Broadway

The musical Hair was about the counter culture of the 1960s. I went to go see it last Friday night with my learning community. The musical also focused on the Vietnam War with some members of the cast burning draft cards. The main character Claude did not burn his card and got sent off to war. This relates to global awareness because the characters are anti-war and involved in protests. They were aware of the men being forced to fight in the jungles of Vietnam and that their friends could easily be drafted.
