On Friday night on November 20th, I went with my learning community to watch the Broadway show, Hair. Hair was based on the 1960s where the Vietnam War took place. This show relates to global-community awareness because it talks about how the 1960s and the hippies community were affected by this war. Claude, the main character of the show decided not to burn his draft card while his other companions did. In the end, Claude died while his best friend Burger did not because he followed the path he thought was right. The show helped me learned how hippies were and how the American community was during the Vietnam War.
